The design
The house, built in 2004, had outdated interiors when the clients bought it. They wanted it to reflect their personalities and work well for their busy family of four, including two young kids. Both parents work, so the house needed to be functional and feel like home.
They specifically wanted to avoid white or neutral colors, opting for cheerful tones and unexpected elements. They asked for a design that smoothly transitions from bright to moody rooms for varied experiences.
My client Roberta chose blue and green as the main colors, with neutrals like beige, black, and pops of brass. Textures added depth and interest to the spaces. The client was adventurous and trusted the process, resulting in a unique design that truly reflects their personalities.
